SBP5000RMI2U issue

Hi Guys
Before installation of the bypass panel is there any parameters we need to consider like the orientation of L-L or L-N, L-G from utility and UPS?
Co'z previously from my former company we counter some issue, as normal when the SBP was switch to Normal everything are doing fine but when we switch the SBP to bypass the utility breaker will tripped off and the UPS goes to Battery Mode.
No load connected to UPS and the SBP...,
Is there any issue if the out put of UPS is L-L and the Utility L-G or L-N with regards to the SBP?
Thanks

This is designed to be used in 230 VAC environments with a L-N-G configuration.

so there is an issue w/ the configuration, co'z our supply line is 220VAC L-L.., so can i say that possible this configuration cause the breaker to Tripped? but the SBP is break-before-make right?
Coz right now we have a client that need SBP for there 3 APC units of SURTD5000XLI, what im worry about is that, what if the breaker will Tripped off again. We can't afford to lose it..
any advice..thanks

Yes, this is a break before make bypass switch. Are you using the exact same configuration (same UPS and service bypass panel) this time as you were last time?

Interesting. I will see if this is unsuitable for a L-L-G configuration. What was the load on the branch cirucit and what was the breaker rated for? Could it have been inrush current tripping it?

just a few clone server and some router and switches, the breaker rating if I'm not mistaken was 60A.
But the time we switch the SBP to bypass there's no load connected for both UPS and SBP. What we are doing was that time just for a testing only, but i bit surprise when the breaker tripped off.

Thanks. Did it also trip the upstream breaker when switched to the maintenance/test position? Or was it just full bypass?

Did you put the UPS into manual bypass before operating the Bypass switch on the SBP5000RMI2U?

Nope, just only one of the branch breaker was trip. And that breaker was the supply breaker for the UPS.

Did that breaker trip when you switched it to the Maintenance/Test position and when you switched it to the full Bypass position? Or did it only trip at one of these positions

Sorry meant to say automatic bypass... Read the upper right hand corner of the install document.
http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/SCON-7Q3JQ2_R0_EN.pdf
The UPS must be in bypass when rotating the switch. I'd try that then see if your still tripping the upstream breaker.
